A few of the words used around here may not mean quite what you'd expect. Here's what they actually mean.
THE MISSION
To build an absurd little world — one crayon drawing at a time. The journey is the point, not the destination. Everything here is part of daily preparation for something bigger. Where it's headed is still TBC.
THE LAB
This is where it all happens — from research to final works (artifacts). A space that combines workshop and studio.
SPECIMEN
A specimen can be an idea, subject, object collected for looking at deeper in the Lab. This is how the sketches and research begins. Not every specimen becomes something more.
ARTIFACT
Artifacts are simply the finished original work that has been made from the research and sketches made in the Lab. Artifacts are almost always an edition of one, offered out into the world.
KEEPER
The keeper refers to the person who buys, adopts, holds, and takes care of the artifact. They are much more than a customer or art collector to me — they are a key part in this mission, entrusted with keeping the artifact safe on Earth. If the mission were to fail, the Keepers could rebuild.
THE MOTHERSHIP
What we call the newsletter. No schedule, no agenda, and it's free. Sign up, and we will send you mission intelligence.
MISSION INTELLIGENCE
The updates sent to everyone aboard the mothership — secrets, dispatches, full of crayon goodness.
MISSION LOG
The mission log is the archive from past Now pages — (link to log goes here)
Now — Why — Hi
Most websites have an "about" page — we call ours Why. Most have a "contact" page — we like Hi. And some have a "now" page: what this person is focused on, right now, at this point in their life. Ours works in the same way.
STUFF & THINGS
This is not a shop — Things we have made (artifacts) and other Stuff we like and think you would too. It's our current curated gallery of goodness: stuff and things you can buy and take home — so maybe it is just a shop ;-)
